Brickhouse Gym FAQs

What do I need to sign up for a membership?

Please bring the following items when you come to either one of our two locations to sign up.

  • A pre-authorized debit form or void check

  • Photo ID (and student ID if applicable)

  • A source of payment for fees that apply

Do I get access to both locations?

Yes you do! The key fob allows all Brickhouse members 24/7 access to both locations in Winnipeg.

Is the key fob fee refundable/a deposit?

The fee associated with the key-fob is an one-time rental fee which is non-refundable.

Can I share my key fob with others?

The key fob assigned to you is yours for as long as you’re a member and yours only. It is your responsibility as a member to make sure you are the only one using the key fob and if you decide to bring a someone in for a workout make sure it’s during our office hours!

Do you accept credit card withdrawal?

We do not accept credit card for monthly payments. We require the monthly membership fee payments to come out of checking accounts only. This allows us to be able to continue your membership without interruption or the hassle of updating your payment information if your credit cards were to be stolen/lost, invalid or expired.

Can I pay month to month only?

Unfortunately not, we do all monthly billings through automatic fund transfers which means no monthly in-gym payments.

Can I try Brickhouse Gym before joining?

Yes! During our staffed office hours, both locations will allow a drop-in session for a cost of $10.50. Should you choose to join the gym afterwards, your individual $10.50 total will be credited towards your membership purchase. This is a one- time credit value for one drop in visit, multiple drop in visits (fees) will not apply for a credit. The credit can only be applied during an in house sign up, online applications and fees will not apply to this offer.

Do you do year or half year contracts?

No we don't! We only have a 60 day-cancellation period which means no long term commitments.

Can you provide an explanation of what a 60-day cancellation period is?

When you would like to cancel your gym membership with the gym, instead of locking into long-term contracts, we ask for 60 days notice of your cancellation. In other terms - when you submit your cancellation notice, you will still pay for the following 2 months of your membership (your membership is still active during this time) then at the end of the 2nd month, your membership ends.

Are your classes included with the membership fee/do you have to be a member to do the classes?

Our classes are not included in our monthly membership fee, they are at an additional cost. You do not have to be a member to join in with any of our classes! We sell 10 class passes to members at a discount price of $100 and to non-members for $120.

If I purchased a membership online using a promotion, how do i activate this membership and why do i have to provide banking information still?

To activate your membership, you will have to come to the gym during our office hours to rent a key fob, provide photo ID and banking information. All members need to provide banking information as that is how we withdraw for the monthly membership fee following the end of your promotion. IF you choose to cancel prior to your promotion ending, we will not withdraw any subsequent monthly membership fees!

When does the payment come out of my bank?

Your monthly membership fee will be discussed with you throughout the process of your sign up and will depend on what type of membership you are on! All Brickhouse members have the same payment date and will be required to be prepared for a payment on the first business day of each month.
